A catch-all mailbox is one that captures all the emails sent to non-existent addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss emails because the other side has an out-of-date address or has made a typographical error. The negative aspect of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of spam messages, but this issue can be fixed using anti-spam protection software. It’s also essential to bear in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot redirect incoming emails to a 3rd-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

You’ll be able to create a catch-all e-mailbox effortlessly in case you’ve got a hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-rich, yet incredibly easy to work with, and it will permit you to activate various options, including the catch-all one, with no more than a few clicks of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each of them you will see a small-size "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will enable this option, clicking it twice will disable it. Since you can have just one such mailbox per domain name, our system will alert you if you’ve already got another one with this feature activated or if you have activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all functionality can be enabled effortlessly in case you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have created with the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll notice a small-size button conveniently situated directly next to each one of them. With only a single click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking as long as there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with this option already enabled and there isn't activated email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate this feature through the menu that will surface. In case any of the requirements for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will warn you, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
